Changing Secondary Question - Guild Wars Forums

I have changed my secondary profession before but not across chapters.

I have a R/Mo I created in Prophecies. Can I take this character to Factions and give him a Rit secondary? Could he go to Nightfall for Dervish secondary?

If he can, is there anything special I have to do to this happen?

Yes you can unlock any of those secondaries....you just have to do the equivelant of ascention in that specifi chappter....look on www.guildwiki.org for details on how to do that.

And the reason you have to do the ascension equivalent is because until you have done the Factions Nahpui mission or the Nightfall "Building The Base" quests, you cannot reach the Profession Changer NPC.

Yes, it is possible to do cross-chapter profession changes. Once you have ascended, travel to the Battle Isles and talk to the profession changer in the Temple of Balthazar. He will allow you to change your secondary to any profession (his list will include Assassin and Ritualist if you have Factions, and Dervish and Paragon if you have Nightfall).

You do not have to go and do the equivalents of ascension on the other continents first, although it helps if you do (access to skills and whatnot).

@Toutatis - thank you for that temple info. I don't PvP so was unaware such an NPC was available there.
